CS AU Week
Day 1: Crossover – Practical Magic AUETA to dedicate this to the wonderfuls @fairytalesandtimetravel @cocohook38 and @lillyanjones for always giving me lovely graphic and art goodies when I need them. Thank you my darlings!
Emma Swan didn’t want to fall in love. Love brings nothing but wasted years and
endless torment. The Swan women were cursed and everyone that loves them
meet a painful death. Death was what took their father first, and heartbreak
what made their mother follow him to the afterlife, leaving Emma and her sister
Mary Margaret orphans in charge of her aunt Ingrid. While Mary Margaret dreamed about the idea of finding love, Emma promised herself she’d never fall in love.
She made sure she wouldn’t by casting a spell for the perfect man that didn’t
exist. And then she wouldn’t die from a broken heart. He would love the sea
And have eyes that matched its color
There’ll be red highlights in his hair
And he’ll carry a dagger closed to his heart
He’d love to read books and
and wish upon the starsThe years passed and she forgot about the spell, falling
in love and having a heartbreak of her own when Graham died of a heart attack
leaving Emma and their son Henry alone. She promised herself never to fall in
love again. She had Henry, Ingrid and Mary Margaret in her life and that was
all that she needed. When Mary Margaret was kidnapped and assaulted by an old
flame, Emma’s attempt to save her resulted in them throwing Jefferson out of
the window, his body disappearing magically into the night. They made a pact
that night: they would never talk about with anyone. Never. But when Detective Killian Jones showed up in town looking
for Jefferson, Emma found she couldn’t fight the pull she felt for him. It was
as if there were being pulled by magnets, the proximity of his body clouding
her judgement, the sincerity in his voice making her want to tell him anything.
Everything. The touch of his lips
against hers awaking her dormant heart. It was when she saw the tattoo on his forearm – the
intricate dagger crossing a heart – that she knew it wasn’t real. What he felt
wasn’t real. It was just an illusion, her childish bewitchment fogging his mind
and tricking his heart. His life forever in danger because no man that had
dared to love a Swan woman had lived to tell the tale.It didn’t matter how much he pleaded with her that what he
felt was real, that he was survivor, she knew the pain she was feeling know was
far less than the one she’d felt if his life were to be lost forever. But in the end, after sorting out the case and exonerating
Emma and her sister, he came back. He refused to ever leave her again. It might have been
your magic what brought me here the first time, but it’s been my own
incantation what had me coming back.
You might think you called for me, but I’ve wished upon the stars for you my
entire life, Swan.
