It isn’t the first time the crew offers to buy him a whore (nor does he expect it to be the last), but it is the first time that the Captain is at the table when they make his ears burn red with shame and embarrassment, and the first time he feels her eyes cut to him with more interest than wondering who cocked up the swabbing of the deck.

“Jones?” the Captain asks, placing her elbows on the sticky pub table and leaning forward with a glint in her eyes. “You’ve never been with a woman before?”

From the way she sits facing him, he can see the tops of her breasts spilling out over her corset. The Captain is not one to care however. Killian blinks rapidly in confusion, thrown off balance by the strength of her stare and the bluntness of her question. Though he expects her to laugh in his face, he nods his head. “Aye. It is a pleasure I have yet to experience.”
