pandora’s box–a post-ep cs ff

spoiler warning, don’t even read this summary if you know nothing about 6.13.

i’m not gonna comment on the episode. i’m just gonna write about emma finding what she found. 


Emma had actually seen Pandora’s Box in person. Well, she thought it was the real Pandora’s Box? That thing Rumplestiltskin had, the prison box thing they’d captured Pan in back in the Neverland days. She was fuzzy on her Greek mythology, but as best she could remember, opening the box had supposedly unleashed all sorts of bad crap on mankind, and curious little Pandora had been the reason there was evil and strife in the world. Leave it to men to tell everyone that the source of their woes was a woman.

So there she was, innocently rummaging around in Hook’s stuff (seriously, she’d only been looking for his spare hook–she just wanted to have everything put away so they could actually say they were moved in) when she’d found it: the ring box. 

She knew what it was the moment she found it; she didn’t need to open it to confirm. But, like Pandora before her, she just had to go and open it and see what was inside.
