CS Halloweek, Day 3:  Myths, Legends, and Fairytales

The Long Lost Brother

Captured, ransomed and lost at sea, Prince Killian was thought dead by his beloved brother, King Liam.

But little did he know that his brother had washed away into shore in a faraway land, found by Emma Swan as she was collecting began for her secret healing potions.

She nurtured the strange man back to life, drawn by his blue eyes and striking features. She didn’t know if she could trust him but it didn’t matter as her magic potions brought him back to life. She’d risk her life to save his.

Grateful, Killian looked into those forest green eyes and promised to keep her secret. He wouldn’t turn against the woman that used her gifts to save him. His mind blank, his memories long forgotten, he picked up work as a blacksmith in the village, not wanting to drift far away from where he was found. He could claim it was because he didn’t know where to go if not there, but it wasn’t fear what kept him there, it was something much more powerful. It was the pull he felt towards the secret forest witch that had saved him, binding his life to hers. Soon, he was coming back to her at the end of each day, his hands and lips mapping the nooks of her body as he lain with her each night.

It was to everyone’s surprise when the King Consort of Arendelle stopped his horse in the middle of the parade, dismounted and ran towards the town’s foreign blacksmith. But as Liam pulled Killian into his arms, it was as if a dam had broken and his memories started to pour in, his former life coming back to him.

Later, when Killian found Emma knelt by the hearth on her house, there were tears in her eyes. He was a prince and she was nothing but a secret witch disguised as a poor peasant. He was out of her reach and she had to let him go.

But the wouldn’t let her. He was hers to keep from the moment she’d breathed life back into him and she was his to run away with him to live no longer in fear, but treasured as the magnificent woman she was.
