Note: This ficlet is a part of my Christmas Countdown gift to @shipsxahoy, who is my giftee for Captain Swan Secret Santa. This one is inspired by one of her favorite Christmas songs – We Need a Little Christmas by Angela Lansbury. I kinda cheated with this because it’s more Captain Cobra than Captain Swan, but I hope she enjoys it all the same.
Summary: Henry Mills enlists the dreaded Captain Hook into buying presents for his birth mother.

Upon coming to No Land Without Magic, Killian Jones had learned to throw out his expectations and to accept the chaos and absurdity that came with the realm. He didn’t understand a lot of what happened in this not-so-sleepy town called Storybrooke, but he would like to say he was learning quickly enough that the mundane things no longer caught him off guard. Despite this, he was entirely unprepared to find Emma Swan’s son sitting in his habitual booth when he arrived at Granny’s Diner one Friday morning for his breakfast.
“Something I can help you with, lad?”
“Yeah,” Henry responded with a precocious grin. “I need you to help me make my mom happy.”
Killian’s eyebrows rose at the statement. He sat down in the seat across from Henry, more than a little curious to know what the young boy meant by that statement.
“And how do you suppose to do that?” he asked cautiously, motioning for a waitress to bring him a fresh cup of coffee. What he really wanted was a glass of rum but somehow he got the feeling that Swan would not appreciate him drinking so early in front of Henry, not matter how much he was craving it.
