Day 1, Feb 20 » Soulmates Trope in a Monster Hunters AU

Emma Swan was a monster hunter, a damn good one if you ask her. Several failed relationships were enough for her to stop looking for love, or her soulmate.

Killian Jones, her soulmate to be, had similar thoughts when it came to love. However, after waking up one morning with a soulmate tattoo, result of too much rum, he chose not to let it go to waste. He followed the tattooed compass, which brought him to Emma. 

Reluctant at first, Emma decided to give him a chance. She thought if anything, he’d be a nice addition to her lonely hunting trips. It took her several weeks, but she realized she was happy to have someone she could share her life with.

making it hard for him to do his job. In the end that proved to be a good
thing, for if it were not for her, he might have lost his life too. He ended up
telling her everything, gaining an invaluable ally, a friend and something more in her.

this scene makes me laugh because Killian is CLEARLY putting in a 1.4/10 effort to harm this lady who is putting in 150% effort in trying to harm him and failing miserably

like… she literally runs at him. with no weapon. and he has to twist himself into a pretzel not to hurt her cuz he has a sword in one hand and a hook for the other and what even. (i’m not even gonna discuss him literally sticking his sword in the sand)
