She should have known, it was the bar all the pilots hung out at after all. Passing through or stationed, they all eventually found themselves at the same place. Emma herself had been a regular since she joined the Academy. And even now, in her last year, she still found herself here more nights than she’d like to admit. It was overrated – peanut shells littering the floor, pool tables in desperate need of refelting, and a beer selection that would make you wince – but the music was good, the drinks cheap, and it gave her the chance to scout the future competition.
So this is my first time really participating in any fandom project, and based on this experience it’s definitely something I would love to do again! I served as one of the artists alongside

It’s been so long since I’ve done any real illustration work, which was a fun and challenging experience, though after reading the story I knew exactly what scene I wanted to depict. I love when Emma and Killian are challenging each other, and I couldn’t help but imagine the two of them playfully staring each other down, their world focusing in on just the two of them while their friends look on in amused fascination having already lost so completely in their poker playing.
I’ve definitely been inspired to keep playing with my own artwork, and hopefully participating in more fandom projects to get to know more of my shipmates! 🙂

Emma and Hook fall through the portal, but they end up in the future and not the past. While trying to figure their way back, they stumble upon a grown-up Henry and get to watch the beginning of his love story.
