Emma agreed to an arranged marriage to save her kingdom. They needed allies. It was a business arrangement, nothing more. That’s why she didn’t feel the need to get the know the man she was to marry. She knew prince Killian Jones by his reputation. They also attended the same balls, where she saw him flirt with any available lady, and that was enough for her to form an opinion about him.

It didn’t help that he’d arrived a month before their wedding and managed to find her despite her attempts at avoiding him. She
will need to talk to her servants about that.

She found out there was more to him than she thought. They agreed to use the month they had to get to know the people behind the masks they wear in public. It all worked out in the end, and the arranged marriage proved to be a succesful union of two people in love.
