all that remains of my love (1/?)

rollythejoger:

Summary: Canon-Divergence starting in the season 2 finale. If Hook had given Emma the bean in Granny’s, allowing her to dispose of the failsafe-trigger into a portal, what would the group of heroes do now to fight back against Tamara and Greg in Storybrooke? With his original plan foiled, what would Pan’s new strategy be to obtain the heart of the ‘Truest Believer?’

Chapter One (AO3)

Hook could barely comprehend his shock at the townspeople’s support for their Evil Queen. He was just beginning to grasp that Snow White wanted to risk everyone’s lives for the sake of her old foe when a massive tremor hit.

A little something for @cat-sophia whose post inspired this. 🙂

(And yeah, I might continue this AU some day. I really like the idea.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She so didn’t have the time to babysit a celebrity. The Emergency Room was always chaotic, especially at night. But she should apparently find the time to explain to a spoiled actor how her work was done. As if he would listen to a word she said.
First off, she was a female trauma surgeon who didn’t only have beauty but brains, too. She’d worked damn hard to get the reputation she had now. Of being one of the best trauma surgeons in the country. But her looks did still get in the way sometimes. What brought her to the second issue she had with showing hotshot Killian Jones the ropes, so to speak.
He was drop dead gorgeous. And he knew it.
Granted, in his line of work his looks were advantageous, but she didn’t want to spend even a minute in his presence. She really had better things to do than listening to an arrogant ass spouting nonsense. But Dr. Mills had ordered her to play nice. So here she was … waiting for one Killian Jones to show up and make her next four weeks a living hell.
“Dr. Emma Swan?“
She swallowed a sigh and turned around to face her guest. She almost rolled her eyes as she took her first look at him. He was decked out in full leather. Leather boots, leather pants, leather jacket with a black shirt and a black vest underneath, the first three buttons of his shirt unbuttoned. But instead her body reacted to the sight in front of her almost instantly. Because goddammit, he really rocked that look. Especially with his unruly hair and the scruff covering his face. Add to that his startling blue eyes, and saying he wasn’t beyond gorgeous would be a blatant lie.
The reaction of her body to his presence was something that annoyed her, though.
"Mr. Jones, it’s such a pleasure to have you here,” she replied, not able to keep the sarcasm completely out of her voice.
“Aye, I can see and hear that,” he said, his teeth flashing bright white as he grinned at her.
Even the British accent he normally had on screen – a definite weakness of her – was more pronounced and sounded different. Different in a sense she didn’t appreciate at all. Her body heated up further without her consent, making her resent her task even more.
“Let’s get to work then,” she snapped, cringing inwardly about her harsh tone. Normally she was very good with people. She had to be, considering her job. But something about him just rubbed her the wrong way.
“Of course,” he said, shooting her a lopsided smirk that she was sure had worked to his advantage in the past. She could imagine it had helped him get into a few panties along the way. But it would definitely not work on her. Nor the glint in his eyes as he added, “Lead the way, Doctor."
She turned around and gritted her teeth as she walked to the nurse station, shifting her shoulders under her lab coat. Her whole body was tense, something she couldn’t afford and she forced herself to relax as she prepared herself to get the ball rolling.
He was apparently here to learn about her job since he was going to play a trauma surgeon in his next movie, and she had her orders.
But the next four weeks would definitely not be a walk in the park.
guess who’s writing when they should be doing finals stuff. guess who still has a fuckton of emotions about 5b. on the one hand, a montage would have felt very final, but on the other…
“Don’t let me be your unfinished business.”
He hesitates in the grand hall, the echo of his footsteps fading as he glances back towards the Underworld – towards Emma.
It happens in an instant, the flash of unfinished business that he might have, a series of what-ifs and perhapses and what-could-have-beens. His gaze drops as the regret slices through him, the sorrow for leaving her, the shame for being the cause of yet another in a long line of promises made to her that have been broken.
Emma heard him before she could even properly see him, planted next to that truck like he belonged there. And when he baited her with the fact she hadn’t apologized for her behavior, well –
“Over my dead body,” she responded and, Jesus Fucking Christ, he damn well knew what he was doing with his hand and those Levi’s and that look.
She told him she was looking for Ruby.
(She lied.)
Killian grinned. “Yeah, I think she’ll be in soon. I can keep you company while you wait. It’d be the gentlemanly thing to do, of course.”
“I’d rather be crushed beneath the wheels of your damn truck.”
“Are you sure you wouldn’t rather be crushed under something a little more friendly? And male, perhaps?”
It was either kiss that dirty mouth of his to shut him up or punch him (again). She chose the latter.
can you feel it right now? (5/?)
town line with its cheery font.
He grimaces the second he sees the damned thing and his tongue
and holds his head in it, using his right to keep the truck moving steady.
Of Men & Magic
In 1928, Killian Jones, a lawyer by day and unmasker of phony
spiritualists by night, is sent to expose Emma Swan, a self-proclaimed psychic that
seems to have the world fooled.  When he
arrives he expects to figure her out quite easily, but soon finds himself
questioning everything he believes to be true.  Could he have finally found one last glimmer of hope in the world he had given up on so long ago, or is she simply another master of deception?
Chapter 1: A Peculiar Matter
“Spirit?  If you’re
with us, please give us a sign…” the woman spoke in a dramatic tone as everyone
in the room waited with baited breath.
Everyone except for the dark haired man sitting attentively in the corner.
The lights suddenly began to flicker followed by a loud
knock, causing those sitting hand-in-hand around the table to gasp in
amazement.
“Yes,” the woman sighed as her eyes slid closed.  “I can feel him.  He’s here.”
Copacabana Dreams – Epilogue (3/3)
Thank you so much everyone for the lovely reviews and screaming at me for all sorts of reasons (either for stopping where I did or for the, ah… events of part 2 😉 ) I had so much fun writing this and I’m glad so many people enjoyed coming along for the ride!
And now here’s the epilogue, because I cannot resist a happily ever after with all the bells and whistles on top.
Four years later…
Her visor did very little to soak up the sweat on her forehead. She was starting to see why so many travel sites had said that handkerchiefs were not only still common, but very popular accessories and gifts in Japan. Even in her bikini, the heat in Shiokaze was unreal.
“Humidity,” Elsa had corrected her, more than once. “We’re playing in an archipelago, it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.”
“It’s fucking up my breathing is what it’s doing,” Emma had retorted, also more than once.
Day 7: Free for all!
So, since Emma is obviously gay I figured we needed a taste of generbent!Killian. This is officially the most challenging thing I’ve ever written.
ao3
@stunningswan and @pirateherokillian are the real heroes here.
4.4k, M, almost sex?
From the beginning, Lillian Jones had a hard life. Mother left just when she needed her, a terrible disease taking the only woman she was ever able to look up to. Father had sold her and her brother Liam into servitude, and there was only so much a big brother could do to protect his little sister, so she saved them both and became Killian Jones, the little brother with a tongue too sharp for his own good and a love of drink. But they’d gotten free and joined the navy. It was supposed to be their chance at going straight, their saving grace, but Liam died in her arms under the gaze of a corrupt government that ultimately didn’t care of his death and Killian Jones, navy lieutenant, died that day. Pirate Captain Killian Jones had taken her place. She’d kept the name, though her crew really didn’t care. She was their captain and that was what mattered.
She’d met Milah after her heart had just healed enough to be given to another, but the woman’s husband was a coward who couldn’t hold a candle to the pirate captain with a soft smile and more love to give than was good for her. But then the coward became the Dark One and he crushed two hearts and stole a hand, effectively breaking the Captain and turning her into a revenge-starved monster.
And then she met Emma Swan. Sharp witted, challenging, beautiful Emma who taught her how to let people into her heart again, forgive those who had wronged her, and give up on revenge. She said Killian was the exception, her heart fit Emma’s and who were they to argue with true love, really?
