This kiss on the hand will never, ever, ever stop making my heart hurt.

Because Killian is always so steadfast, especially when Emma needs him to be, and he just made her promise to move on without him because that’s the way it has to be– he is holding his resolve because he knows if he wavers, there’s no way she’ll leave him there, and he’s resigned himself to sending her back to the world when he can’t follow, even though almost everything he’s done for the past couple of years has been to follow her to the ends of the earth so she’s not alone.

He’s gone through that whole horrible scene and stayed composed.

And then at the very last second, when he realizes he’s about to lose sight of her and has to let go, he just panics. We rarely see Killian desperate; usually he’s just resigned to awful things happening and even feels like he deserves it.

But in this moment, he kisses her hand because it’s all he can reach, because he needs to keep touching her as long as he can with this franticness, like he’s ready to fall on his knees and beg the universe No no no no, please please don’t take her from me I’ll do anything, which just destroys me because it’s easy to forget that before they found each other, he was just as lonely, lost and heartsick as she was.

And he was trying so hard to stay strong for her and just crumbled in that last moment because I don’t think anything in his life ever broke his heart this much.

This was delayed because: frell drawing bicycles, and coincidentally, the night I was going to finish this, my dad pulled out a bunch of old home videos of me and my siblings that he’d converted to digital, and some of them were of me learning to ride a bike.

Prompt: descriptive uncircumcised hand/blow job from Emma to Killian? The way you had it in Ecstacy was hot as fuck, even if it was just a little sentence!! I don’t know why, but I loved it so much and it was a huge turn on!!: “like that… pull the skin up over the… Oh God, Emma…”

hiatus between 4a and 4b

There are a lot of questions Emma still feels are too weird to ask and keeps her mouth shut about – how did people get ringlets in the Enchanted Forest? Did corsets ever get more comfortable or were there some spleen issues her mom needed to see a doctor about? Was virginity as overrated there as it was here? How did anyone survive before tampons? Or Advil? How many expensive foreign vases given as gifts from ambassadors would she have been allowed to break in a princessy tantrum? Can Granny teach her how to shoot that crossbow sometime?

“Hey, did you know that yours is the second uncut dick I’ve ever seen?” is one she never expected to think up, and she definitely doesn’t voice that aloud.

(Really, thinking about her ex in this scenario shouldn’t happen at all, but she does have him to thank for knowing what to do in this scenario.)

As irritating as not having her own place is, half the fun of these stolen moments in Killian’s rented room is seeing how far they can go before Granny gives them dirty looks at breakfast the next morning. An inn run by wolves is not an inn that allows for very much privacy, but Emma’s determined not to let that stop her from seeing if after talking the talk Killian can walk the walk.

(Oh, he definitely can walk the walk. Some mornings Emma isn’t sure she can walk the walk of shame back to the loft.)
